What Can Affect Your VA Pay?
A calculator can help you understand the numbers, but it cannot determine whether VA properly evaluated your conditions or the evidence supporting your claim.
VA does not simply add individual disability percentages together. Multiple ratings are combined under VA's rating methodology and then rounded to the nearest 10%.
At 30% or higher, qualifying spouses, children, and dependent parents can affect monthly compensation.
Some Veterans may qualify for Special Monthly Compensation (SMC), which can provide compensation above basic disability rates in qualifying circumstances.
